congregations can multiply the impact of their outreach by seeking out the people and organizations in their community already doing God’s work. Below are the community organizations that First Lutheran Church or Orland partner with.
Commodities
The Commodities Program is sponsored by the USDA, and which also distributes food to local folks in need. Packers and servers are needed each event, held the Friday after the third Thursday from 8-11am. All drop-ins to help are welcome.
Orland Pantry
Orland Pantry annually serves over 50,000 meals to the hungry families of Glenn County. The Orland Pantry hours of operation is Mondays 10:00 am and Wednesdays 3:00 pm. Please check out the Orland Pantry Website for more information about this central ministry.
Adoptive Parents Support
This support group exists to counsel, encourage, and educate the adoptive families of the area. Please contact the front office through the below link to find how you can support.
